I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) through the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching, a certified Women's Health and Functional Nutrition Coach (WHNC) through the Integrative Women's Health Institute, a certified Insulin Resistance Coach through the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology, and a licensed doctor of physical therapy specializing in Women's Health and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. Through my own medical challenges, including cancer and major orthopedic surgery, I developed a passion for nutrition and realized the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. Since I have so much personal experience with surgery and recovery, I wrote and taught the Nutrition Pre- and Post- Abdominal and Pelvic Surgery course for the IWHI, due to my extensive experience in both areas. I enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge in the areas of functional medicine and nutrition. I've completed a one-year certification in holistic health coaching and nutrition through the Integrative Women's Health Institute, completed an Insulin Resistance Solution Practitioner Training course receiving my certification as an Insulin Resistance Coach, am a national board certified health coach, and am currently completing a two-year Nutritional Endocrinology Practitioner Training Program through the Institute of Nutritional Endocrinology. I am also a recurrent faculty member of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, and lecture to Doctor of Physical Therapy students about functional nutrition.
I provide health coaching sessions virtually all over the globe via Zoom. I also teach health and wellness lectures, essential oil education classes, and am a recurrent faculty member at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, teaching doctor of physical therapy students about functional nutrition.
I teach clients how they can support their bodies and health through nutrition, proper exercise, stress management, and sleep. I see clients struggling with low energy, fatigue, difficulty losing weight, sugar cravings, brain fog, hormonal imbalances, sleep disturbances, low libido, painful sex, and more. I teach clients things that they can do nutritionally and lifestyle-wise to support their body and health.
I also provide education regarding different women's health and pelvic floor issues, such as pelvic pain (vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, endometriosis, etc.),
urinary incontinence or leakage, fecal incontinence, difficulty emptying the bladder, pain with intercourse, pain with pelvic exams or tampon use, chronic constipation, low back pain or sacroiliac joint pain, frequent urinary tract infections or yeast infections, tailbone pain, uterine prolapse or bladder prolapse, etc. I teach clients what the pelvic floor is, how to bring awareness to the pelvic floor, how they can learn to properly contract and relax the pelvic floor, proper toileting techniques for the pelvic floor, and how to support their pelvic floor both nutritionally and through lifestyle changes. I help clients to get in tune with their pelvic floor and body through education and nutrition, so that they can take their health into their own hands. If needed, I show clients how to find a skilled pelvic floor physical therapist specialist in their area for pelvic floor physical therapy intervention and treatment.
It is my passion to help empower women to reclaim their health by teaching them to listen to their body and trust their inner wisdom. My job as a women's health and nutrition coach is to act as a guide, providing support, to help assist you in reconnecting with your body and intuition to reclaim your energy and vitality. Together, we use your body's inner wisdom as our guiding light on your healing journey.
